The Snow is coming!!!   Are you ready?   We have what you need.  This weekend is the annual Fitness Fanatics Nordic Ski Sale and Swap.  If you have cross country ski gear you want to sell, bring it to the shop this week before 5:00 PM Friday Nov. 4^th.   If you are looking for bargains on cross country skis, the Ski Sale and Swap begins on Saturday from 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM  or Sunday 11-5 (Don’t forget about the time change Sunday morning).

Here is the latest news from Mt Spokane.  We will know by Nov. 8^th if we get the new Big groomer.  We will be using the old groomer this year.  It has been refurbished. Yes, Nordic Skiers you will get to use Lender Ridge road again this year.  Snow Park Permits are still $80 for the season and $20 for a day pass (Vendor fee is $2 on the season and $1 on the day).   You will also need a Discover Pass if you buy the day pass.  If you park anywhere in the park other than the Snow Park Parking lot, you will need a Discovery Pass.  If you have questions about the passes, we will do our best to explain it as it has been passed along to us.  Remember we don’t make the rules, we just try to sell the passes for your convenience.

Indoor cyclists:  If you are in need of a new bike trainer, we just got a shipment of the Blackburn trainers in.  If you’re up for it, the TechFluid trainer is capable of 600 watts of resistance.  If you need more motivation, try getting the Tacx Fortis Multiplayer.  The Tacx trainer turns your computer into an audio-video control console and is the most fun you can have on your bike indoors.  You can race against yourself or others.  Try the online race series and come out of winter stronger than you have ever been.

Now is time to dig out your skis and clean them up and start waxing them for the first snow.    Scrape off that storage wax and put new clean wax on them.  If you have been thinking about getting your skis stone ground, now is the time.  Fitness Fanatics can do that for you.  $70 for a stone grind and travel wax prep.

1 hour in-store segment and 1.5 hours on Snow
Class Schedule:

Each clinic consists of a 1 hour lesson in the store and a 1.5 hour lesson on the snow.  Cost per session is $55 for the Skate Clinic, or $55 for the Classic clinic.  The in-store orientation class includes fitting for your rental skis, should you need to rent skis for the on-snow session.  The price to rent skis will be $20 for Classic skis and $30 for Skate skis.  We are limiting class size to six persons per session, so sign up early to reserve your space.  Choose an In-Store date and a date & time for an On-Snow lesson from one of the following Sessions:

Women’s only classes:
This clinic includes a 1 hour In-Store lesson and a total of 4 hours of on-snow time, held over two consecutive week days at 2 hours per session.  Cost is $80 for the clinic.  If you do not have skis, rental skis are available for an additional $20 for Classic Skis or $30 for Skate Skis.  Class size will be limited to six, so sign up early to reserve your space.  Choose from one of the following class sessions:

 

Beginner Classic

Dec 6^th at 10:00 am for In-Store Class
Dec. 7^th & 14^th 10:00 am-Noon for On-Snow Classes

 

Beginner Skating

Dec 6^th at 10:00 am for In-Store Class
Dec 8^th & 15^th 10:00 am-Noon for On-Snow Classes

 

Beginner Classic

Jan. 10^th at 10:00 am for In-Store Class
Jan. 11^th & 18^th 10:00 am-Noon for On-Snow Classes

 

Beginner Skating

Jan. 10^th at 10:00 am for In-Store Class
Jan. 12^th & 19^th 10:00 am-Noon for On-Snow Classes

 

All On-Snow classes are held at Mt Spokane State Park.  A Snow Park Permit and Special Grooming trail permit are required for each vehicle.  Permits will be available for purchase at In-Store class.

Private Lessons are $60 an hour.

Rental Prices:
Classic Ski Rentals are $20 for Adults for one day or $30 for the weekend
Kids Classic ski Rentals are $15 for one day or $25 for the weekend
Skate Ski Rentals are $30 for Adults for one day or $50 for the weekend
Kids Skate Ski rentals are $25 for one day or $40 for the weekend.
